Ushma and her team are the real deal. My kiddo has seen many (many!) OTs in his short life, and Ushma is hands-down the most thorough, insightful, kind and creative one we've ever come across. She explained things about my kid's sensory system that no one had ever uncovered or shared with us before, and this gave us so much new understanding of our child and how to support them. We're working with Abigail at home and she's fantastic. Thrilled we found this OT crew.

The team at World of OT crew are children-whisperers. They are able to deeply understand the motivations and challenges of a client, and work with them to become self-aware of those situations and practice using tools for overcoming them. World of OT’s unique approach is that they will come to the child in their every day lives, such as at school or at home, and that means they’re able to directly contextualize those observations and tools to what the client is actually going through. I highly recommend working with them for any kid that needs OT!

I would highly recommend World of OT. Ushma was incredibly easy to talk to. She listened to my questions and concerns and was able to share the benefits of OT and the many benefits. Our therapist, Sammi was fantastic and our son benefitted so much from his time with her this year! We set clear goals in the beginning of the year and it's amazing to see the progress he's made. He truly understands language around regulation and his fine motor skills are incredible. His ability to hold a pencil correctly and write neatly is clear to see and the change from where he started is quite remarkable. He also loves his time with Sammi and looks forward to it each week. World of OT is amazing! Our therapist has worked with our daughter to build confidence and help address her socio-emotional challenges through preschool and TK. She has been kind, supportive, compassionate and a true advocate for our daughter through some challenging times including changing schools. The change in our daughter’s behavior, confidence and just general level of happiness has been so profound. We’re so thankful to have found such a wonderful resource for our family.

We have been working with Ushma for several years now, since about the 2nd or 3rd grade, after having started with a different OT initially. We were looking for a more holistic and integrated approach, and it was especially important for us to work with someone who could meet us right where we are, in our child's natural habitat, so to speak. Ushma came highly recommended by a learning specialist at our kid's school and has since been adopted as an OT by many other families at the school, which is a huge testament in and of itself. What I appreciate most about working with Ushma is how she integrates her support into the classroom or home environment and the visible impact that's had, both due to the increased visibility, as well as transferable skills right back to the school and home life. To illustrate my point: we were working on my pre-teen's executive function skills, and we've gone from challenges of not even knowing on how to get started on finding something in the room, to our kid volunteering to set up and organize her own room -- first drawing up detailed plans for it; to organizing her desk at school; tying her own shoes and hair; riding a bike (not a skill I could teach myself); and coming up with systems on organizing her own schedule and school work, so that assignments are turned in on time. We also continue to see support whenever there is social-emotional navigation or transition involved, which is frequent in middle school and at this age, and comes year over year with changes and adjustments to each new grade's teaching team. Ushma's individualized support is something I see even the teachers and administration in our school take notes on. She is our advocate for classroom setup accommodations and navigating tough behavioral conversations with the school and much of the reason we have been able to stay at this school for years.
